A pump is a machine that converts the mechanical energy it receives from another source and delivers hydraulic energy to incompressible fluids. Before the pump is installed in the well, it should be ensured that both the well and the pump are suitable for their intended use. It should be checked that the flow rate of the well is sufficient to meet the needs of the user, and it should be seen that the flow and head of the pump to be installed are suitable for the purpose.

Sand cleaning of the well must be done, sand, sediment, etc. in the fluid. It should be ensured that the amount of particles does not exceed the operating limits of the pump.
